Tokunbo was born
into the family of Reverend & Mrs JBP Lafinhan, both
in blessed memory, about five decades ago. The Lafinhans
are from Ogbomosho in the Western Part of Nigeria, but
most of the author’s early years were spent in Oyo,
Nigeria with her parents and four siblings. She received
her primary and secondary education in Nigeria at Reagan
Memorial Girls Primary School, Lagos; Ishokun Baptist
Day School, Oyo; Baptist Girls High School, Oshogbo and
Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo respectively. A move was
initiated by her parents and permitted by God to
continue her education in USA in the early 70s. She
received her first degree in Business Administration
(Cum Laude) from Oklahoma Baptist University Shawnee,
Oklahoma. USA in 1976 and later on received a Masters
degree in Business Administration from Eastern Illinois
University in Charleston, USA. Later on in her life, she
obtained another Masters degree in Banking and Finance
from The University of Ibadan in Nigeria. She was then
working in a Commercial Bank in Nigeria at that early
part of her working Life. She is married to Oyedokun and
the marriage is blessed with four children. A
considerable amount of her working life was also spent
with her family in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG).
She lectured Business at some Papua New Guinea Colleges
and also shared her skills in a private Secondary School
as a Senior Teacher in Business. She also treasures a
period of six months she spent with the young ones in a
Kindergarten/Primary School while assisting the owner
with the running of the School in PNG. The Lord, Jesus
Christ has always been made real to her from birth,
being born into a Christian home; but thank God she
continues to enjoy a deeper personal relationship with
Him as she matures in age. She loves The Lord and has
always loved to read God’s Word and to fellowship with
others. Tokunbo is currently living in Malaysia with her
husband.

“DAILY SCRIPTURAL READING for 2007” is God’s
Breath. The LORD inspired the author to prepare 2007
Devotional Book for people who love to read from the
Word of God daily but are always too busy, to sit down
for a long time, to read from His Word. Is this
devotional book for you or for somebody that you know?
The period of preparation of this Devotional Book was
blessed with the presence of the Holy Trinity. May lives
be touched and blessed as God’s message is being read
daily. Each week has been given a topic. Every week has
a main scripture in line with the week’s topic and
each day has a scripture also in line with the topic of
the respective week. Also, be blessed with the prayer

Holy Name be praised and honored forever. Amen. We need
